interaction with a really sweet lady at the cutting table at jo-ann's when i went in to buy foam a couple days ago:


Lady: You want ALL this Foam?
Me: Yep.
Lady: It's very expensive!
Me: *nods* *shrugs*
Lady: Do you have a coupon?
Me: *cocks head* No...
Lady: *pulls a coupon from under the desk and scans it*
Me: Why, thank you!
Lady: That will give you 40% off this roll.
Me: *looks surprised* THANK you!
Lady: What are you making with all this?
Me: A costume. A dragon.
Lady: Ahhh! I like the dragon! I'll give you another 40%
Me: :D :D :D


Freakin' sweet. She literally saved me almost $60.

Anybody else watch this show constantly as children?

We got it from netflix recently and it was... not as good as i remember. BUT there was an episode that either i had never seen or had completely forgotten where old Pete gets a job as the kid at the golf course who drives the little armored truck around the driving range picking up golf balls, that everyone takes pleasure in pelting (a job i had btw, so i already love this premise). Pete is naturally ashamed of this humiliating position, and so to conceal his identity... he... wears a fursuit. A baggy, old, matted, hideous, deformed-looking, taxidermy-jawset-having, grizzly bear fursuit. Not only does this provide another layer of protection from the golf balls, but allows pete to become one with nature, before the town and his parents ruin everything in the usual fashion.

WTF!?!? XD XD XD

Well, although i'm on schedule with all my current customers, it may be a little longer yet before i have some finished stuff to show. But i have some very exciting things going, so i thought i'd post up some W.I.P. photos, so folks can see where i am with stuff.

I'm just getting things set up on this new journal, and i will be posting progress pictures of my projects soon, soon, soon. I've found a new, brilliant, lightweight, collapsible, and cheap way to make frames for stationary wings, and i'm going to share it with all of you!!! :D
